RAINN operates a call center that provides 24/7 sexual assault crisis support for national, state and local sexual assault response programs.  The National Sexual Assault Hotline (NSAH) Affiliate & Resources Manager is responsible for maintaining the NSAH affiliate network, coordinating the affiliate and allied HelpRoom, and managing hotline dashboard and referral resources.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The NSAH Affiliate & Resources Manager will provide the following services to RAINN:


  • Maintain a robust affiliate network of local sexual assault service providers;
  • Respond to and remediate user complaints about services received from an affiliate, and concerns from the affiliate network;
  • Manage communications with affiliates, including periodic hotline reporting;
  • Maintain accurate call routing databases and perform regular hotline testing;
  • Draft and distribute a monthly newsletter to the affiliate network;
  • Coordinate and facilitate monthly webinars for the affiliate network members that enhance affiliate community connection and skills;

Resource and Knowledge Management:

  • Lead reorganization and expansion of referral resources for staff to use when providing crisis support to survivors of sexual violence;
  • Manage and lead a process of regularly updating resources and informing staff of changes;
  • Oversee and manage the resource verification audits;
  • Manage referral database;

HelpRoom Management:

  • Recruit and manage HelpRoom partnerships, including vetting new partners, onboarding, training, technical issues, and ongoing maintenance;
  • Serve as the liaison with the communications and technology departments to coordinate successful launch of affiliate partner HelpRooms;
  • Create and customize affiliate HelpRoom trainings and materials for new partners;
  • Facilitate monthly check-ins with partners and bi-monthly check-ins with entire HelpRoom network;  
  • Collate feedback from HelpRoom partners to ensure satisfaction with the service and identify areas for program improvement;
  • Oversee scheduled sessions and continued maintenance of affiliate HelpRooms;


  • All other duties as assigned;
  • Manage NSAH staff associate and/or intern(s).

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in social services or a related field;
  • 3+ years of experience working in crisis intervention services or hotlines, social service resource management, or related experience;
  • 1+ years of program management experience;
  • Experience undertaking research projects, including developing or implementing taxonomies to ensure clear organization of information;
  • Ability to handle shifting and multiple priorities;
  • Proven experience effectively communicating information and remediating issues in a timely manner;
  • Ability to work well under pressure and maintain composure during stressful situations;
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions - written and oral;
  • Must feel comfortable with using and describing technology;
  • Must possess and positive and energetic attitude, with the ability to successfully work on a team and independently;
  • Must be comfortable discussing issues surrounding sexual violence;
  • Must complete and pass a criminal background check (administered by RAINN); and
  • Must have experience with relationship building and fostering collaboration among diverse stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Veterans will be given priority.
  • Experience working with local sexual assault service providers;
  • Experience providing direct services to vulnerable populations;
  • Experience managing staff;
  • Experience with relationship building and fostering collaboration among diverse workforce.

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 80% of the time;
  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office equipment, etc.;
  • Must be able operate a computer (typing 35-45 wpm with accuracy) and other office productivity machinery (e.g., copier and fax machine);
  • Must have vision correctable to a level where individual can operate a computer; visualize text on a computer monitor.
