RAINN is the nation's largest anti-sexual violence organization and the leading authority on sexual violence. We develop and provide best-in-class services for survivors, inform and educate the nation about sexual violence and how to prevent it, improve the public policy and criminal justice response to these crimes, and help organizations improve their policies and programming with regard to sexual violence. Since 1994, through the National Sexual Assault Hotline and our other victim services, RAINN has helped more than 3.7 million people affected by sexual violence.

As a training manager in RAINN's Consulting Services team, you will work closely with client organizations and with your RAINN team members in a highly entrepreneurial environment, and help to effect transformative societal change, one client organization at a time. You will be joining a unique team that is breaking new ground. Fully embedded within a non-profit organization, the Consulting Services team's commitment to furthering RAINN's mission is one at the core of our purpose. We know that we can make the greatest consultative impact through collaboration with our clients and by leveraging our wide-ranging functional competencies while drawing from RAINN's deep subject matter expertise in sexual violence. We are lawyers, MBAs, public health experts, data scientists, researchers, business analysts, trainers/educators, social workers, trauma therapists, and victim advocates. We are consultants with diverse backgrounds and specialties, all focused on a single practice area -- sexual misconduct awareness, prevention and response. And you are an experienced professional looking for the opportunity to bring to bear your exceptional skills in service of a mission you believe in.

Our clients are diverse -- we work with government agencies, companies across a multitude of industries (including some of the largest companies in the world), youth-serving organizations, educational institutions, student organizations, faith-based organizations, our fellow non-profits, and more. Our work is focused on helping our clients strengthen their sexual misconduct awareness, prevention, and response programming in order to create the safe communities we all deserve.

You are comfortable working both autonomously and in highly collaborative team settings. You possess exceptional analytical and conceptual problem-solving skills and strong interpersonal and communication skills. You are also comfortable wearing a number of different hats (often at the same time), based on the myriad requirements of client project work -- researching, developing and presenting training content, facilitating strategic planning discussions, conducting data analysis, crafting actionable recommendations, and more.

This position is one of the most visible client-facing roles in the organization, representing RAINN on the "front lines" through frequent and regularly delivered trainings, workshops, and facilitated conversations for external client audiences. However, the time spent delivering trainings represents only the tip of the iceberg. You are also a skilled researcher, consultant, and project manager who understands the importance of delivering exemplary client service throughout the entirety of the project cycle and client relationship.

While your focus will be on supporting clients to the best of your ability, you will never lose sight of RAINN's larger mission and goals -- to help organizations create safer communities for all their community members (whether that's defined as employees, contractors, students, customers, or volunteers) and better support survivors of sexual violence within the populations they serve.

  • Undergraduate degree with outstanding academic record; advanced degree (MA, MBA, JD) is preferred.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in a reputable company/organization with a proven record of high performance and substantial achievements in your past positions, with demonstrated experience and expertise with developing and delivering trainings on mental health, trauma, sexual violence, and other related topics.
  • Demonstrated depth of understanding of victim-centered and trauma-informed communication.
  • Solid functional knowledge, including but not limited to strategy, business development, project management, etc.
  • Deep commitment to RAINN's mission of eradicating sexual violence and supporting survivors of sexual violence.
  • Exceptional logical reasoning, creative thinking skills, and problem-solving skills with the ability to untangle complex issues.
  • Exceptional organization and time management skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively and persuasively.
  • Strong adaptability and ability to multitask and prioritize in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work effectively with people at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, with a fully remote team.
  • Ability to successfully pass a criminal background check (administered by RAINN).
  • Valid identification for transportation or has plans to secure appropriate documentation ASAP for both car and air travel (both domestic and international travel).
  • Capacity to travel up to 70% of the time, when necessary and safe to do so (re: COVID).
