RAINN is looking for a finance analyst to ensure accurate tracking of finances, compliance with government and funder requirements, and making business decisions that are supported by data.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform daily bank reconciliations and activities related to cash flow management.
  • Record daily revenue recognition.
  • Do analysis and create journal entries in the accounting system of record (quickBooks) to support the month-end accounting close.
  • Prepare numbers for the annual report and IRS filings.
  • Manage A/R, A/P, revenue records and other daily financial needs in the accounting systems of record.
  • Prepare and submit paperwork for business licenses.
  • Set up vendors with RAINN's tax-exempt status.
  • Work with RAINN's Development team to track, record, deposit, reconcile and report on all revenue.
  • Enter accounting-related information into the business logs.
  • Closely track grant and contract expenses, ensuring that all spending is charged to the right place and meets all funder requirements.
  • Inspect account books for efficiency and accuracy.
  • Prepare documentation for external auditors.
  • Organize and update financial records.
  • Recommend ways to reduce costs and enhance revenue.
  • Set up and manage systems and policies to make RAINN's finance work as efficient as possible.
  • Analyze current and past financial data and performance.
  • Prepare reports and projections based on this analysis.
  • Identify trends in financial performance and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Support the annual budget cycle.
  • Coordinate with other members of the finance team to review financial information and forecasts.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Ideal Candidate will have the following skills & qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, business administration or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Three to Five or more years of finance experience.
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks Accounting Software
  • Expertise in MS Excel
  • Expert-level analytical skills
  • Strategic thinking
  • Great presentation skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational ability
  • Ability to multitask and meet constant deadlines
