Position: Speaker's Bureau Manager

The RAINN Speakers Bureau is a national program that consists of nearly 4,000 survivors of sexual violence who volunteer to share their stories for the purpose of raising awareness, increasing public education, initiating policy changes, and bringing hope to other survivors.

RAINN is seeking a Speakers Bureau Manager to manage, nurture, and support RAINN's Speakers Bureau program. This position will dedicate their efforts to overseeing the Speakers Bureau Program including management of the Speakers Bureau portal and marketing and advertising of the Speakers Bureau. The Speakers Bureau Manager will be the main point of contact between RAINN and members of the RAINN Speakers Bureau. The Speaker Bureau Manager will serve as a key member of the communications team, while also working cross-departmentally with RAINN's development team, RAINN's policy team, and other teams within RAINN as a liaison. This position will be essential to deeper engagement with all of RAINN's key stakeholders including survivors, volunteers, advocates, and funders. The Speakers Bureau Manager will report directly to the Vice President of Communications.

The Speakers Bureau Manager has duties that include, but are not limited to:


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Vice President of Communications to manage, continuously develop, and execute an external multi-channel marketing strategy for the Speakers Bureau.
  • Work with the Vice President of Communications, the Social Media Manager, and the Director of Media Relations to identify and match Speakers Bureau members to digital, social, and traditional media opportunities.
  • Review and process Speakers Bureau member applications, including background checks.
  • Manage the Speakers Bureau database and portal.
  • Oversee and manage the monthly Speakers Bureau newsletter and other communications.
  • Support cross-departmental projects involving Speakers Bureau members, including advocacy and fundraising efforts.
  • Serve as the lead on special projects, initiatives, and events to promote and amplify awareness of RAINN's Speakers Bureau.
  • Manage digital advertising campaigns and report analytics with regards to the Speakers Bureau.

Necessary Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and 3 years of program management, communications, or other relevant work experience.
  • Commitment to RAINN's mission and goals, including our inclusion policy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to reflect the organization's voice and brand with an ability to communicate with authority.
  • Highly proficient with Google Suite and technologically savvy.
  • Strong personal initiative, team player, and a self-starter.
  • Exceptional organization, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize.
  • Ability to conduct outreach, build and maintain strong relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Discretion when dealing with sensitive information and experience working with survivors of sexual violence.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent ability to convey programmatic opportunities and objectives.
  • Experience with EveryAction.
  • Database management experience.
  • Experience managing a speakers bureau program, with demonstrated growth.
  • Experience community managing online spaces, such as social media groups and forums.
  • Experience working with digital direct response programs and campaigns aimed at constituent growth and fundraising.
  • Fluency in Spanish.
