Department: Victim Services, Clinical Team

Position: Licensed Training Supervisor (Part-Time) (LGSW, LICSW, LGPC or LPC)

Reporting to: Clinical manager

Pay: $30/hr

RAINN's Victim Services (VS) department provides anonymous telephone and online chat services to survivors of sexual assault and their loved ones. Within the VS department, RAINN's clinical team is responsible for elevating the service quality across all helplines. To advance this objective, the clinical team is seeking a licensed training supervisor who can expect to work approximately 20-25 hours per week.

The licensed training supervisor is responsible for improving direct service excellence among RAINN's hotline staff (paid and volunteer). The licensed training supervisor will base their efforts on a commitment to RAINN's four crisis-intervention values: trauma-informed, survivor-centered, non-judgmental and strengths-based.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Under the direction of the clinical director, the licensed training supervisor will:

  • Facilitate debrief sessions with hotline staff and shift managers in order to provide them opportunities to gain support, feedback, and identify strategies that will assist in their duties and overall self-care.
  • Conduct supervised sessions with newly hired staff, volunteers and veteran staff who are in need of additional support.
  • Prepare and assess trainees ability to staff shifts independently.
  • Conduct quality assurance assessments for all hotline staff as a part of the annual performance evaluation.
  • Conduct quality assurance assessments for volunteers as needed.
  • Conduct quality improvement plans for staff and volunteers.
  • Work closely with the clinical director, clinical manager and QA manager to identify skill development needs of hotline staff and volunteers.
  • Assist with testing new online and telephone helpline services as needed.
  • Maintain current knowledge of relevant research and keep staff up-to-date with emerging trends and best practices.
  • Perform other clinical quality improvement projects and provide recommendations in the VS department, as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Must have an active social work (LGSW or LICSW) or counseling licensure (LGPC or LPC).
  • Must be a DC licensed psychologists or social worker
  • Must have practiced with that license for one or more years.
  • Required to undergo and pass a background check for the client.
  • Fulfill the contract's obligations including debriefing PCSaves interactions with staff.
  • Master's degree in social work or counseling.
  • 5+ years experience working with victims of abuse (ranging from children, adults, and families).
  • Expertise on sexual violence issues.
  • Prior work experience with training staff with various levels of experience.
  • Problem-solver with a demonstrated ability to make considered decisions and to communicate them effectively.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions written and oral.
  • Ability to solve problems and work professionally in a wide range of situations.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment when faced with complex decisions.
  • Willingness to work a non-traditional schedule, which will include occasional evenings and/or weekends/holidays.
  • Comfortable discussing issues surrounding sexual violence.
  • Commitment to RAINN's missions and goals.
  • Upon hire, must provide proof of vaccination (COVID-19).
  • Must successfully complete administered criminal background check(s).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Veterans will be given priority.
  • Experience with crisis hotline/intervention and treatment of victims of sexual violence.
