Position: NSAH Project Manager

Reporting To: NSAH Program Director

As a key member of RAINN's Victim Services management team, the NSAH Project Manager will oversee operational activities on the National Sexual Assault Hotline. The NSAH is a completely anonymous, confidential, 24/7, specialized service -- providing help and information anytime, anywhere. NSAH visitors can access one-on-one support, peer-to-peer support, information, resources, and self-care exercises 24/7 to aid recovery.

The NSAH Project Manager will serve as a vital member of the NSAH leadership team. The NSAH Project Manager will work to build operational policies and protocols that keep the department functioning smoothly and identify ways to improve and streamline efficiencies. In addition, this position will play a vital role and participate in operational planning and strategy implementation to enhance NSAH's impact and reach.

The NSAH Project Manager will also work collaboratively across departments and with the Vice President of Victim Services and the NSAH Program Director to meet the organization's mission and vision. This position will report to the NSAH Program Director.

This is a full-time position, exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Utilize Project management tools to develop detailed work plans that identify and sequence necessary activities/steps to be completed for various projects and assignments related to knowledge management, policy development and information sharing.
  • Define the scope and objective for each project in collaboration with the Vice President of Victim Services, NSAH Program Director, and management.
  • Determine if support is required from additional, internal teams to complete projects and ensure all respected parties are consulted and notified with appropriate time to plan.
  • Plan, facilitate, and monitor internal progress across RAINN departments for each project.
  • Independently implement all projects accordingly to the work plan, monitor the progress for each project, clearly communicate any necessary adjustments and review the quality of the completed work on a regular basis.
  • Maintain all project management documents in collaboration with the Vice President of Victim Services and Program Director;proactively communicate critical junctures and project needs across Victim Services' stakeholders for each assignment.
  • Ensure each project is completed on time, and at the required quality level.
  • Demonstrate strengths in technical and persuasive written communications.
  • Actively contribute to the strategic planning process led by the NSAH Program Director.
  • Will work closely with the Program Manager in the implementation of new and current NSAH policies and protocols, ensuring their effectiveness.
    • Assist with the implementation and communication plans of new and current NSAH policies and protocols.
    • Ensuring effectiveness by evaluating the policies; process evaluation, outcome Evaluation, and impact Evaluation.
  • Contribute to and implement annual operational and strategic goals and objectives for the NSAH, reflecting its mission and the organization.
  • In collaboration with the Vice President, Victim Services, and NSAH Program Director, assess and make recommendations to improve NSAH operations, protocols, and manuals based on the evaluation of qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Manage the development, modification, and enhancement of policies, protocols, processes, and controls to systematize the provision of NSAH services.
  • Improve operational management systems, processes and procedures.
  • Manage/oversee the OVC Grant in this role.

Operational Functions:

  • Recommend and manage project management workflow tools for NSAH
    • Plan projects, track progress, and collaborate with UKG/Kronos.
  • Assist with the facilitation of NSAH marketing and outreach briefs.
  • In collaboration with stakeholders in the Victim Services Department, the Project Manager will support and manage projects such as the National Advocate Credentialing Program (NACP) for NSAH staff.
  • Track NSAH monthly reportal data.
  • Maintain knowledge of RAINN's policies and protocols, ensure compliance and provide ongoing feedback to the Vice President, Victim Services, Program Director and the Human Resources Director.
  • Attend staff meetings as scheduled/requested.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Position Specifications/Requirements:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required:

  • A Degree in Business, Operations Management or related field or equivalent. experience. Can be enrolled in college/university pursuing a degree.
  • Experience developing program goals, policies and protocols.
  • Must be familiar with organizational effectiveness and operations management.
  • Must possess excellent English-language communication skills (oral and written).
  • An eye for efficiency and experience identifying and executing process improvement initiatives.
  • Ability to use analytical work and use data to provide thought provoking and workable solutions Ability to work well under pressure and maintain composure during stressful situations; ability to handle shifting and multiple priorities.
  • Ability to demonstrate effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to foster teamwork, work cooperatively and effectively with others to set goals, resolve problems, and make decisions that enhance a program's effectiveness.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills - including but not limited to: team building, employee engagement and change management.
  • Ability to lead, positively influence others to achieve results that are in the best interest of the program/organization.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment when faced with complex decisions.
  • Ability to read and interpret necessary policies and procedures to perform necessary updates.
  • Good reasoning, conflict-management, and analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Resiliently positive and energetic attitude, with the ability to successfully work on a team and independently.
  • Willingness to work a non-traditional schedule, which will include evenings and/or weekends/holidays.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must be able to work on-site at RAINN's office and to attend meetings there as required.
  • Must be comfortable discussing issues around sexual violence.
  • Must complete a criminal background check (administered by RAINN).
  • Upon hire, must provide proof of vaccination (COVID-19).

Desired Qualifications:

  • Veterans will be given priority.
  • Established work experience as Program Manager or similar role.
  • Experience with military populations.
  • Understanding of general finance and budgeting.
  • Experience with relationship building and fostering collaboration among a diverse workforce.
  • Experience with workforce management tools such as UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group).
